Tell me about those earrings. Well, the ear-shaped earring was part of a collection of jewelry I made dedicated to a guy I was seeing who just wouldn’t listen to me. I also made a bloody ring finger to go along with it, but I had to stop wearing it because my friends thought I was losing my mind. And then the tassels: My grandmother had this sort-of-Asian wall hanging, and I just asked her for it. I made the top part into a purse and the bottom into earrings. But I think I’m going to sell them soon on my Etsy store, maybe for $45.

How would you describe your style in general? It’s Harlem Renaissance meets New York surrealism meets the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. I feel like I was Isabella Stewart Gardner in another life or she was my mother. I mean, she was a crazy older lady who collected art. If that’s not my future, I don’t know what is.
