At a Hillary Clinton fundraiser over the weekend in Paris, there were the familiar faces of some well-known Clinton supporters. There was Huma Abedin, one of Clinton’s top aides and Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, who co-organized the fundraiser. Dakota Fanning, who has donated to the campaign before, was also there along with other celebrities and fashion insiders. But there was at least one person who you may not have expected to see: Barbara Pierce Bush, daughter of former president George W. Bush.
By the looks of some photos from the event, Bush seems to have had a good time hanging out with Clinton’s supporters. On Saturday, Vanity Fair’s Derek Blasberg shared a selfie of himself with Bush, Fanning, and Lauren Santo Domingo, founder of Moda Operandi. The shot of the smiling group originally had the hashtag #werewithher but was apparently later edited out, according to a screen-grab from Politico.
If Bush is, indeed, part of team #ImWithHer, she’s not the only Bush in the family to be supporting the Democratic nominee. Grandpa George H.W. Bush is reportedly casting his vote for Clinton this fall. If anything, it looks like the family has been talking politics lately and Donald Trump has certainly caused quite the split.
