Weekend Trips - Omega Institute, Hudson Valley

Omega Institute, Hudson Valley
Strike a pose at one of our five picks for Spring 2003 yoga retreats.

From the March 24, 2003 Issue of New York

Set up like a little village of white clapboard cottages, the Omega Institute is the most picturesque of yoga centers, with a lake and herb gardens nestled in its peaceful expanses. From May to October, the Institute offers seminars on everything from tantra to swing dancing, along with yoga workshops led by Boston-based Baron Baptiste (champion of yoga as aerobics) and everyone's favorite yogi, Rodney Yee. Check out the contact-yoga workshops and the kundalini-yoga and chanting weekends.
