Space Is the Place
Thanks to the magic of light pollution, we rarely see any of these from Manhattan. But John (just John, no last name) offers an impressive alternative to our star-free skies in his solo show of celestial abstractions, up at Chelsea’s Feature Inc. through September 20. John’s works are lovely, and they suggest that life in suburbia might not be as bad as we’d think (though it’s probably still pretty awful). —Rachel Wolff
