Even Thom Yorke Running Out of Things to Say About ‘In Rainbows’

It’s been more than two whole months since Radiohead’s In Rainbows hit the Internet in October, obliterating pretty much everything in its path, especially the record industry. Is there anything left to say about it? Wired sent Talking Heads leader David Byrne all the way to Oxford, England, to find out, and, well, turns out there isn’t. Byrne interviewed Thom Yorke in the offices of his management company and, though not for a lack of trying, was unable to uncover a single new interesting fact about the record. We’ve read the piece four times and, we swear, this is all we learned:

• Yorke claims the band mastered In Rainbows just two days before they started taking online preorders.
• Radiohead make most of their money from touring (obviously), even though it’s an “ecological disaster.�
• According to Yorke, “In terms of digital income, we’ve made more money out of this record than all the other Radiohead albums put together,� which is totally unsurprising since none of their old albums have been made available on iTunes.

Wired’s Website does have some audio clips from the interview, though, so at least there’s that.
