What, the guy isn’t esteemed enough already? Bob Dylan just won a “special citation†from the Pulitzer board, for “his profound impact on popular music and American culture, marked by lyrical compositions of extraordinary poetic power.†In other culture categories, prizes were won by Junot Díaz’s outstanding The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao for Fiction; Mark Feeney, art critic at the Boston Globe for Criticism; and — supporting Charles Isherwood’s rave-of-all-raves — Tracy Letts’s August: Osage County for Drama.
