It’s hard to know exactly how excited to be for Joss Whedon’s upcoming Eliza Dushku–starring Dollhouse. On one hand, it’s Joss Whedon, and despite any network meddling, we don’t think he’ll disappoint us; on the other, Fox has saddled it with the confidence-killing, viewer-allergic time slot of Fridays at 9, meaning it’ll probably get canceled halfway through its first season and we’ll just end up disappointed. For this reason, we express our deep appreciation to the show’s marketers for releasing the most boring possible clip (in which Dushku has her memory erased after a purportedly action-packed weekend) from the February 13 pilot so as not to raise our expectations. Now if we could just enjoy the first few episodes of Dollhouse then have our memories erased after Fox inevitably axes it.
