National Society of Film Critics Proves That Every Critic Alive Loves The Hurt Locker

The Hurt Locker cleaned up at tonight’s National Society of Film Critics awards, just like it did with the New York Film Critics Circle and Los Angeles Film Critics Association. The film won best picture, best director (Kathryn Bigelow) and best actor (Jeremy Renner). Lucky for all the other Academy Award hopefuls, this pretty much guarantees that The Hurt Locker won’t win the Oscar.

Here is the complete list of winners:

Best Picture: The Hurt Locker

Best Director: Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker

Best Actor: Jeremy Renner, The Hurt Locker

Best Actress: Yolande Moreau, Seraphine

Best Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz, Inglourious Basterds, and Paul Schneider, Bright Star

Best Supporting Actress: Mo’Nique, Precious

Best Screenplay: Joel & Ethan Coen, A Serious Man

Foreign-Language Film: Summer Hours

Non-fiction Film: The Beaches of Agnes
