The push to get Betty White to host SNL is about to succeed, according to Michael Ausiello at EW. His sources tell him that “Saturday Night Live is this close†(emphasis his) to getting White to take on hosting duties for an episode this season. But since it’s a little extreme to ask an 88-year-old to host a 90-minute show that begins well past her bedtime, SNL honcho Lorne Michaels is trying to put together a group of hosts to help White out. The “Women of Comedy†approach would involve signing on SNL alums Tina Fey (who’s already set to host in April), Molly Shannon, and Amy Poehler to split the duties with White. And that’s fine by us, as long as White and Grady Wilson share the screen.
