Leonardo DiCaprio Didn’t Understand Inception’s Screenplay

Since Inception is the only non-terrible-seeming tentpole being released this summer, the pressure is on Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight follow-up to deliver. How confusing will it be, though? For the Inception cast, the intricate screenplay Mr. Nolan wrote was tantalizing but occasionally perplexing. “It was a very well written, comprehensive script,†Mr. DiCaprio said, “but you really had to have Chris in person, to try to articulate some of the things that have been swirling around his head for the last eight years.â€

Unless Nolan extends the same courtesy to viewers, swinging by theaters after his movie lets out to explain it in the parking lot, we might be in trouble here.
