The China Film Group, the government organization that decides which foreign movies will screen in Chinese theaters, traditionally only allows in twenty movies (like, from the entire world) a year. And this year — because its studio, Lionsgate, managed to finagle it into the final night at the upcoming Shanghai International Film Festival — one of those movies will almost definitely be Killers. As in, the box-office underwhelming, critic-avoiding, plot-recycling, Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl–starring Killers. Sorry, China! And please do know that Hollywood has better stuff to offer.
