An eagle-eyed commenter at the L.A. Times’ Gold Derby message boards noticed that Neil Patrick Harris had been inexplicably omitted from the Emmy nominations in the Best Special-Cass Program category for his work emceeing last year’s Tony Awards (hosts of awards shows are now nominated as producers for that Emmy, following the loss of the Best Performance in a Variety Special category last year). So GD boss Tom O’Neil contacted the TV Academy and boom — NPH’s name has been added, giving him a third chance at a statue on August 29. Has your name been accidentally left off the nominations? Probably not, but clearly it’s worth double-checking. [Gold Derby/LAT]
