For his first-ever movie, 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, Daniel Radcliffe wasn’t asked to do much more than spit out a few lines and clumsily wave a wand around. In the years since, though, he’s blossomed into something resembling a real actor, capable of commanding the screen and occasionally telegraphing the odd emotion. With Deathly Hallows: Part 1 in theaters soon, we thought it was time to look back. In this edition of Vulture Voice-Over, Dan Kois and Lane Brown track the progress of Radcliffe’s acting, from his earliest film performance through last year’s Half-Blood Prince. Enjoy!
