You can’t accuse Angelina Jolie of slacking. Her directorial debut is ambitious enough on its own — an untitled, Bosnia-set love story with no stars and tricky cultural standoffs — and yet, she’s already made it twice over. “We actually shot a full version in [the actors’] native language and we shot a full version in English,†Jolie revealed to Vasarnapi Hirek. “We shot two complete films. I was only able to do it because the actors were so fluent in English so they were willing to work hard and do the scenes in two languages.†Jolie also might release the film in black-and-white, if you’re still not impressed enough.
