Jake Gyllenhaal’s Source Code Will Open SXSW

Next year’s South by Southwest film festival has a long way to go to outdo the cachet of coolness conferred this year by a bartending Bill Murray, but here’s a promising start: The fest has announced that the Jake Gyllenhaal sci-fi thriller Source Code will serve as the opening-night film. Directed by Duncan Jones (a SXSW alum for his debut feature Moon), it puts a newly non-naked Gyllenhaal on a mysterious commuter train where he must relive a terrorist bombing over and over until he solves it. The fest runs from March 11 to 19 in Austin, Texas.
