Three new films have been added to the Sundance Film Festival lineup: Miranda July’s follow-up to 2005’s Me and You and Everyone We Know, The Future, about a couple who adopts a stray cat “literally altering the course of time and space and testing their faith in each other and themselves†(don’t adopt stray cats, people!); Flypaper, about “two gangs trying to rob the same bank at the same time†(whoops!) starring Patrick Dempsey and Ashley Judd; and Magic Trip, a documentary from Alex Gibney and Alison Ellwood that uses footage Ken Kesey and his Merry Pranksters shot while on a 1964 cross-country, acid-fueled road trip.
