Though Undercovers flopped, J.J. Abrams is still red-hot when it comes to getting his TV shows sold. So far this season, Abrams has managed to place Alcatraz, a Terry O’Quinn–Michael Emerson project, and the Jonah Nolan–scripted Person of Interest; now TVLine reports that Abrams and producers Monica Breen and Alison Schapker are readying a pitch for Pulp, an hour-long crime drama that’s just fantastical enough (and similarly titled) to draw comparisons to Pulp Fiction. Certainly, it’s not a stretch to think that the man who co-created the enigmatic Lost might have been inspired by Pulp Fiction’s never-explained mystery briefcase. [TVLine]
