The Social Network may not have taken home the top prize at the Oscars, but that isn’t going to prevent more collaborations between director David Fincher and executive producer Kevin Spacey. Next up for the duo is Spacey’s first return to series television since the 1988 crime drama Wiseguy, in House of Cards, a political thriller that will be adapted from the British mini-series of the same name by Beau Willimon (who scripted George Clooney’s currently shooting political comedy The Ides of March). Deadline reports that the drama isn’t yet set up at a network, but with Fincher directing the pilot and Spacey starring, expect suitors to circle quickly. [Deadline]
