It’s a good week for fans of very good but modestly rated TV series: Days after NBC picked up Parks & Recreation and Community, Fox this evening renewed Friday night drama Fringe. This ensures the series will be back next season for a fourth round of episodes, and means that fans of the show can stop stressing each Saturday morning over the show’s ratings. When Vulture e-mailed co-creator J.J. Abrams about the pickup, he was understandably excited. Said he: “Whew! And thanks to Fringe-rs everywhere!!!!†(Yes, he used four exclamation points. And yes, we’re OK with that.)
