A match made in weirdness: Ben Kingsley has signed on to Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest flick, The Dictator, a comedy about a lovable dictator who wants to stay in power forever. Cohen plays a both a goat herder (of course) and a deposed foreign ruler who visits the U.S. And Kingsley plays an as-yet-unnamed Middle Eastern character who somehow factors into the plot. Anna Faris, Kristin Wiig, and Gillian Jacos are all in the running for the female lead, a supermarket worker. This is Kingsley’s second recent project with Cohen: The two teamed up for the Martin Scorsese–helmed period piece Hugo Cabret. We’re pretty sure no Borat-type behavior was allowed. [Variety]
