Fair warning: There’s not a whole lot happening in this brief teaser for The Woman in Black, a 2012 thriller starring Daniel Radcliffe. You do get a bit of confident marketing hyperbole — “The most chilling ghost story of our time†— and a look at Radcliffe’s scruffy face as he’s menaced by an eyeball and someone’s hand. (Maybe the actual trailer will include a whole person!) But it’s still a glimpse of what Radcliffe can do outside the Harry Potter universe, since his biggest bids to prove his range have mostly been confined to the Broadway stage. Take note, casting directors: Instead of having lightly humorous conversations with ghosts, Dan-Rad can gasp and run away from them, too.
