It didn’t work out with Hugh Grant, but CBS is still determined to land an A-lister to replace Charlie Sheen on Two and a Half Men, and now there’s a new famous name in the mix. Broadcasting and Cable is reporting that Ashton Kutcher is the latest figure to be considered by CBS brass; the network was supposedly searching for a star who’d never done TV before, but in Kutcher they’d get one who started there and has has a medium-size film career, most recently in the successful Natalie Portman rom-com No Strings Attached. (Also, he’d definitely be able to nail any monologues about the female orgasm the show threw at him.)
UPDATE: Sources close to the show confirm that Kutcher is signing on to the show.
