Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop follows the then-underemployed host on his cross-country tour — and his deep, dark depression spiral. Comedy documentaries inevitably expose the sort of sad clown behind the chuckles, but Can’t Stop has the unusual problem of its subject’s apparent misery already being part of the public record; the film, then, winds up being less of a glimpse of O’Brien’s psyche and more a sustained stare. How often do you see celebrities literally curled into the fetal position, talking about what worries them? Not often!
