My first thought upon reading the headline was, what if it turns out that Martin Short is the mother, and the rest of the series is an epic sci-fi journey to get him outfitted with a bionic womb? I’m not saying that’s isn’t going to happen, but until it does Mart Short’s How I Met Your Mother gig will have him playing Marshall’s new boss. Short replaces Dave Foley, who’s sitcom How To Be A Gentleman was picked up by CBS. Sadly Foley’s metal uterus will left to rust in the prop closet, as those titanium girdles have to be fitted to the nearest millimeter.
