Mike Tyson, Spike Lee, and and Entourage creator Doug Ellin are teaming up to create Da Brick, an HBO drama loosely based on Tyson’s early years as a boxer. Lee is set to direct the series, which is described as “a contemporary exploration of what it means to be a young, black man in supposedly post-racial America.†The show will be set in current-day Newark, New Jersey, a town often dubbed “Brick City.†The star has not been cast yet. Given Tyson’s ridiculous history and life story, this could be excellent. [Deadline, HR]
