Weezer, Andrew Bird, My Morning Jacket Record Muppets Tribute Album

The track list was just released for The Green Album, a tribute comprised of Muppets cover songs, and it’s almost knowingly designed for pop-culture blogs to hype. Many of the web’s favorite bands make an appearance: Airborne Toxic Event, OK Go, Andrew Bird, etc. In the most marquee assignment, Weezer is singing “Rainbow Connection� along with Paramore’s Hayley Williams. Between this and the spoof teaser trailers, whoever is doing the marketing for the upcoming The Muppets reboot deserves a promotion.
