This chart from Trendrr claims that Conan O’Brien was “by far the most-talked about late night talk show in social media last month.†OK. But as you can see, they didn’t track the two most popular late-night shows amongst 18-34 year olds, the folks most likely to be using social media: The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. So while I guess it’s interesting to see how much more chatter there is about Coco than Leno, Letterman et al., it seems a little disingenuous to make the claim that he’s the most talked about name in late night. I’d be much more interested to see Coco lined up with Stewart and Colbert.
