In a Wednesday night tweet, Lady Gaga indicated that she had plans to meet with Barack Obama, apparently to discuss a potential anti-bullying campaign: “I am meeting with our President. I will not stop fighting. This must end. Our generation has the power to end it. Trend it #MakeALawForJamey.†(The hashtag refers to the recent suicide of 14-year-old Jamey Rodemeyer, whose classmates frequently taunted him for being gay.) However, while Gaga is scheduled to attend a West Coast fund-raiser for the president next week, a Democratic official told the Post that Obama had not set aside any time to speak to her privately. Of course, we don’t believe that guy for a second, though we do have one question: Why is the administration trying to keep the Gaga summit under wraps? [NYP]
