The oft-overscheduled James Franco recently pulled out of some of his upcoming projects (including a Broadway revival of Sweet Bird of Youth), but it seems that his loss is Chris Evans’s gain. Deadline reports that Evans has signed on to replace Franco in The Iceman, a fact-based story about a mob contract killer (to be played by Michael Shannon) and his mentor (now Evans).
