Fox’s Alcatraz Changes Showrunners

Elizabeth Sarnoff is out of the J.J. Abrams island-based time-travel series Alcatraz, citing creative differences. Jennifer Johnson (Cold Case, Lost) and Daniel Pyne (Fracture) will step in as co-showrunners from their respective posts as executive producer and feature writer. Fox’s new drama, currently scheduled for the midseason 9 p.m. slot, places infamous inmates in modern-day San Francisco. Al Capone will just blend right in today.
