The Iron Lady will officially be released December 30, the Weinstein Company announced via Twitter last night, which is later than initially expected but still in time for Meryl Streep to earn her 1,000th Oscar nomination. We kid, we kid: If Streep gets nominated, it will only be her seventeenth nomination. Iron is one of the few Oscar-buzzy films that hasn’t screened at all; it completely skipped the festival circuit, and there isn’t even a full trailer out yet. Just give us Streep and her finest Margaret Thatcher already.
