Steven Soderbergh’s The Man From U.N.C.L.E. movie/franchise reboot has been cast and recast a bunch of times since 2010 — Clooney! Wait, not Clooney! Bradley Cooper? Joel Edgerton? Channing Tatum? Now it’s Soderbergh himself who’s no longer attached to the film. According to IndieWire, Soderbergh and Warner Bros. couldn’t agree on casting or the movie’s budget — Warner offered $60 million, but Soderbergh wanted more, on account of the period setting and international locations — so the director pulled out. He’s apparently looking for other movies to direct now that his March 2012 schedule is open, right under the wire before his pending retirement.
