Since Sundance is a festival devoted to movies, the former Degrassi star was asked about his acting career, and since Drake is Drake, he brought up his long-held dream to play President Barack Obama in a major motion picture. The weirdly sourced quote from ONTD: “I hope somebody makes a movie about Obama’s life soon because I could play him,†said Drake. “That’s the goal. I watch all the addresses. Anytime I see him on TV, I don’t change the channel, I definitely pay attention and listen to the inflections of his voice. If you ask anyone who knows me, I’m pretty good at impressions.†Also, as close Drake watchers will know, he’s been practicing for over a year. How could he be more ready?
