Oprah Winfrey is reportedly mulling an offer to act in the upcoming Lee Daniels project The Butler, about Eugene Allen, a black butler who worked in the White House from 1952 to 1986. If Oprah does indeed decide to take her first onscreen role since her 1998 turn in Beloved, she would play Allen’s wife. According to the Hollywood Reporter, other stars mentioned in connection with the film include Mila Kunis (as Jackie Kennedy!), John Cusack (as Nixon!), and Hugh Jackman (as somebody!). Oprah maniacs who got their hopes up for an O-starring film back in late 2010 — still waiting on that one, Michael Patrick King — won’t have to agonize for long, as THR reports the casting should be complete within the next couple of weeks.
