Contrary to hilarious rumors, Paul McCartney will not in fact be appearing on the upcoming season of Mad Men, a source close to the show confirms. Of course he’s not! That’s not Mad Men’s style: The show generally avoids winky-winky moments and super-famous guest stars, plus McCartney is not known for his acting ability. (We all have our gifts, Paul. Don’t feel bad.) That said, there would be something sort of magical were he to play, oh, someone from Lane Pryce’s past? Maybe next season.
