Cue up Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time,†ready a sash and bejeweled crown, and welcome super-producer Scott Rudin to the stage: He is now one of a select few showbiz figures to have attained the EGOT, which means he has won the Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. (Though if we really had to explain that accolade acronym to you … well, you’re simply reading the wrong website. Just get out now and we won’t make a big deal about it.) Tom O’Neil at Gold Derby was the first to take note of Rudin’s crushing victory, which came last night when he collected a Grammy for Best Musical-Theater Album for producing The Book of Mormon. That show also won him one of his several Tonys, in addition to his Oscar for producing No Country for Old Men and an Emmy for, hmmm, the 1984 children’s program He Makes Me Feel Like Dancing. (Kudos for that, Scott, but why not shore yourself up in that category a little bit?) In a completely unrelated note, Harvey Weinstein only has the Oscar and the Tony.Â
