Deadline has the scoop on the long list of actresses being considered to star as Nora Charles, wife and co-detective to Johnny Depp’s Nick Charles in a remake of 1939’s The Thin Man. And they are, objectively ordered from least-letters-in-name to most-letters-in-name: Amy Adams, Eva Green, Emma Stone, Emily Blunt, Isla Fisher, Rachel Weisz, Kristen Wiig, and Carey Mulligan. And look, if none of these leading ladies emerges from the pack, they can always do the I’m Not There thing and have them all play the same role across various points in time.
