As rumored, America’s favorite musical controversy appeared on American Idol’s stage last week and on Thursday night’s show her performance of “Video Games†aired. It was decidedly better than her job on SNL and about on par with her rendition of the same song on the Late Show With David Letterman. Clad head to toe in white, she received a large applause before she began. She appeared somewhat at ease, as much as a person can who rocks back and forth onstage for four minutes gripping the microphone. But she did smile a couple times, which can’t be easy during such a depressing song.
