Tyler, the Creator Probably Won’t Be Charged for That Club Tantrum

Back in December, Odd Future spirit leader and sometimes troublemaker Tyler, the Creator was arrested after a soundboard-related meltdown at L.A.’s Roxy Theater. (He allegedly trashed some sound equipment and started a small fan riot; his mother was “visibly upset.â€) According to TMZ, Tyler will be paying $8,000 in damages, plus the “investigation costs†incurred by the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Department, but provided that he complies with the District Attorney’s requests, he will not face criminal charges. That should free him up for more legally noncontroversial activities like snorting a mountain of (fake) cocaine while dressed like a centaur.
