The future of The Office has never seemed so uncertain — Rainn Wilson and Mindy Kaling may leave next year for their own shows, while NBC has been mulling a near reboot of the series — but Jenna Fischer says that if the network green-lights a ninth season, Dunder Mifflin won’t look that different. “The whole cast, I’m talking about everybody — Ed [Helms], John [Krasinski], me, everyone is wanting to come back,†she tells The Hollywood Reporter. “So it’s really just a matter of NBC pulling the trigger. They have to announce it by May 15 when the upfronts happen, right? So we’re all just waiting.†Fischer says Wilson will stay on The Office prior to his midseason spinoff and even Kaling may appear if her schedule can be worked out. Well, overtime can be lucrative.
