For the second week in a row, The Hunger Games is dominating the domestic box office with millions of ticket sales to spare. It has now earned over a quarter of a billion dollars, and that’s not counting overseas. Just its $65 million haul this weekend alone is almost as much as the total domestic earnings of Disney’s John Carter flop, which didn’t even break the box office top five. Runner-up was special effects overload Wrath of the Titans, whose $35 million debut was almost half that of prequel Clash of the Titans, while Julia Roberts’s Sleeping Beauty flick Mirror Mirror’s premiere was, at $19 million, “disappointing†to say the least.
