The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, part one of Peter Jackson’s dual-film spin through the Lord of the Rings prequel, will screen a cagily noncommittal “up to 10 minutes†(like 99-cent-plus stores, only opposite) at CinemaCon in Las Vegas on Tuesday, according to The Hollywood Reporter. There’s much ballyhooing afoot with regards to Jackson’s novel use of 48 frames-per-second technology (double the usual rate, we guess??), but as long as it’s bootleggable via cell phone, we’re good to go.
