Mad Men Fashion Recap: Farewell to Megan’s Office Attire

Last night’s Mad Men episode wasn’t a particularly exciting one, outfit-wise, but we had to come back to reality after last week’s fabulous parade of party gowns. Perhaps most exciting was the introduction of Alexis Bledel as Beth Dawes, a lonely Connecticut housewife who seduces a very willing Pete Cambell in her suburban living room. Peggy was even frumpier than usual, debuting a chunky, mustard-colored sweater in additional to her usual lineup of blouses, and we only got one very disappointing Joan outfit. However, big news: Meghan will no longer be a member of the corporate workforce, and thus trades in her office-appropriate dresses for more stage-friendly black tights.
