After Trayvon Martin was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch captain in Florida, Fox pulled the posters and the initial teaser for its upcoming sci-fi comedy Neighborhood Watch. Now, as the new trailer reveals, they’ve renamed it entirely: It’s just The Watch now, which hopefully will still connote “Ben Stiller tentpole†and not “period romance about a Victorian watchmaker and the upper-crust love he woos with a finely crafted timepiece.†Stiller co-stars with Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade as neighborhood watch guys who stumble onto an alien invasion, and it looks like there are plenty of improvised riffs about who might be an alien in disguise and how much sexual subterfuge might be required to ascertain that information. (Plenty, but with caveats.)
