Bindlestiffs follows three suspended high schoolers (played by the real live high schoolers who made the movie) who run off to the inner city to live out their Catcher in the Rye fantasies, despite never having actually read the book. The film will be the first release under Kevin Smith’s SModcast Pictures Presents production company. As Smith has grown accustomed to doing, he and the creators are taking the movie on the road, stopping in New York on June 12th, Philadelphia on June 13th, San Antonio on June 17th, and Austin on June 18th. Tickets can be purchased here. If you can’t make those dates but still want to find out how much rye they catch, the film will be available on VOD on June 19th.
