The Newsroom was hit by layoffs today: The Daily reports that Aaron Sorkin has fired most of his writing staff, which consists of under ten people. “They’re not coming back, except for Sorkin’s ex-girlfriend [Corinne Kinsbury],†said The Daily’s source. Sorkin is known to be a very hands-on writer who scripts or co-writes every single episode, so it’s unclear whether the laid-off staffers will be replaced or whether Sorkin will go it (mostly) alone. But what of Gideon Yago, we ask? Whither Gideon?
