Christopher Nolan, fresh off Inception, was so thrilled with Marion Cotillard that he shuffled things around for the “biggest film since the silent era†— code name: The Dark Knight Rises — to accommodate the actress’s first pregnancy.* Nolan tells Vogue he worked to “figure it out,†pushing the majority of Cotillard’s work back a month and welcoming her family on set. “She’s Superwoman,†Nolan says. That’s not a veiled tip about Cotillard actually becoming Superwoman by the film’s end, is it?
