Between Tyler’s exit and J-Lo’s likely departure, there’s a real opportunity here for some fading celebrities who are looking to shower vacant wannabe starlets with meaningless platitudes. The rambling statement attributed to Tyler in Fox’s press release includes some odd phrases (“I strayed from my first love, [Aerosmith], and I’m back – but instead of begging on my hands and knees, I’ve got two fists in the air and I’m kicking the door open with my bandâ€), but the statement really strains credulity when it claims Tyler actually said, “Now it’s time to bring Rock Back. ERMAHGERD.†Ermahgerd? Is Steven Tyler suddenly a big Gersberms fan?
