Oooooh, here’s a rumor we love: “Page Six†is claiming that American Idol producers have asked Diddy to be a judge for the upcoming season. That would be great, although it does not sound particularly likely. Once upon a time, Vulture was a dedicated Making the Band viewer (miss you, Babs), so we know Diddy enjoys the mentoring and weeding-out processes. But it’s tough to picture him enduring some nervous 17-year-old’s 45-second rendition of “Turn the Beat Around†and then telling him that his personality really came through because everyone’s still afraid to be “the mean judge.â€
