Netflix, unbeatable purveyor of both Dawson’s Creek episodes and Critically Acclaimed Violent Suspenseful Movies Featuring a Strong Female Lead, is working hard to boost its Arrested Development–fronted original content department up to 40 percent of the service’s collection. And while Netflix figures that out, it’s also doing things like securing the American rights to Ricky Gervais’s soon-to-air-in-Britain series Derek, featuring Gervais as a controversially “different†nursing home employee.
